TikTok used its TikTok World '26 event to announce a significant round of new advertising and AI tools. Not all of it is relevant to every client, but a few things are worth knowing.
New ways to reach people
TopReach merges TopView and TopFeed into a single placement that can reach effectively all available users on a given day, with a new Creative Sequencing feature letting advertisers control both placements together to tell a story across them rather than repeating one ad. Search Hubs push brand pages to the top of TikTok search results, aimed at capturing people already searching with intent to buy. Branded Buzz is built for large scale creator collaborations designed to generate volume views quickly.
AI is doing more of the creative work
Inside TikTok Symphony, a new tool called Reference to Video lets advertisers specify an exact product or image and generate consistent video around it, rather than leaving results to chance. Creator AI Search, part of TikTok One, matches campaign briefs against creator profiles automatically, cutting down the manual work of finding the right creator for a brand.
Smarter, more automated campaign management
Smart+ campaign automation now includes Auto Selection, which picks the top performing creative automatically, alongside a centralised Asset Manager for products and creative, and a Summary tool that surfaces performance insights without digging through reports manually. GMV Max has also expanded to optimise for actual profit, accounting for affiliate costs and fees rather than revenue alone.
What this means for your marketing
None of this needs action today for clients on a small or testing budget, but for anyone considering scaling TikTok Ads spend, these tools are worth understanding before that conversation happens. The direction is clear: TikTok wants advertising to be faster to produce and easier to optimise, with AI doing more of the heavy lifting on creative and targeting.
